LinkedIn has just published its Talent Brand Index, a graphic of companies that are the most sought for by candidates worldwide. Spotlight.
Unsurprisingly, there are very big names that appear in the lead of the global ranking published by LinkedIn, such as Google, Apple, Microsoft and Facebook. The study reveals nonetheless that half of the 100 most sought after and requested on the professional network are “small” organizations with less than 7,000 employees.
To produce this ranking, LinkedIn based it on the results of surveys available online and on the interactions between over 175 million registered professionals and the companies in the network. Also taken into account were the frequency of visits from professionals and following of company pages. The analysis has therefore allowed the level of interest to be broken down by geographic area, sector of activity, type of position and to determine the influence of brands on their professional network.
Focus on the different rankings
These are the North American companies that are most sought after by candidates with a score of 70 North American recruiters among the 100 ranked. They are followed by 26 of those in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The sectors most represented are new technologies and software (21 companies), consumer and retail (20), professional services (16), energy and oil (10), health and pharmaceuticals (8).
Among marketing professionals, Google, Unilever and Microsoft are in the lead. In finance and accounting are Deloitte, PwC and Ernst&Young. Engineers specialising in software prefer Google, Microsoft and Facebook. Finally, students and young graduates have their sights on Google, Apple and Microsoft.
