Lespac emploiLesPAC.com [Quebec first classified ads site] launched the updated version of its job section on July 20, 2006, using a job board-type model. This section is now adapted to the specific market of on-line job postings and stands out from other classified ads thanks to the following functionalities.

  • Search engine: The search engine was enhanced with an advanced entry tool comprising five target job search criteria, including sector, education, required experience, job category and language skills.
  • Local postings: LesPAC has set up a "Nous recherchons dans votre région" [we are seeking in your region] tab on the home page of the job section, which informs candidates about jobs available in their area. It's a free service for job posters.
  • Visibilité Plus package: The Visibilité Plus package provides employers with an opportunity to improve the visibility of their ad, in the form of a job offer with a frame around it displayed in the other sections of the site. The package costs $298, and is designed to attract applicants who are not actively searching for a job.
  • Special rate of $99 per job posting: Rates were adapted to the job posting market, which differs from the other classified ads at the present time.

"With more than 1,100,000 unique visitors a month, LesPAC has an incredible reach throughout Quebec," stated Suzanne Moquin, President of LesPAC. The site intends to benefit from this audience to become a leading force on the job board market. This year, LesPAC will therefore attend the Montreal Job and Training Fair, to be held September 26 and 27 at the Palais des Congrès.
