Beljob.ca, the 3rd site of jobWings Careers, after jobWings.com in 2001 and HRjob.ca in 2002, was born in 2003 .

The English version, nicejob.ca, appeared the following year and the company acquired Actijob.com, one of the first online recruitment sites in Canada, in order to accelerate development of the search engine.

In the first year, nicejob.ca became the main partner of the Salon Emploi Formation.

Nicejob.ca has since remained faithful to the Fair each year and the two partners will together celebrate their 10th anniversary and 40th presentation at the Palais des Congres de Montreal next March 27.

An activist in the world of recruitment on the web, nicejob.ca created a stir and was noticed early on. That led Google to put the site on notice at its launch for plagiarism due to a certain resemblance to its home page. nicejob.ca also cultivated its coloured image during a shock advertising campaign on the snow to make its mark!

nicejob.ca pioneered pricing in the field of recruitment by offering, starting in 2003, the new concept of pay per click, thus linking the cost of a posting directly to its readership.

Created 3 years before its competitors (Indeed, Eluta, Wowjob, etc.) Beljob.ca has always evolved to distinguish itself from other search engines.

The launch of a general purpose search engine by a company that has since its inception advocated the superiority of specialized job sites might appear contradictory. This launch was part of its strategy of specialization, however, since nicejob.ca has contributed over the years to setting up a vast network of specialise job sites across Canada.

Indeed, although nicejob.ca first sought to reach all candidates, it then enabled them to be subdivided by community and built a network that today includes over twenty specialized sites, on which its added value now resides.

For its anniversary, nicejob.ca offers a new face that emphasizes the specialized sites, while keeping its friendly image and its original colours.

Proud of this development, nicejob.ca will blow out its 10 candles by vowing to continue to share its success with recruiters and candidates, and for the occasion offers its latest promotional film.
