New law on accessibility for persons with disabilities in Manitoba

Following the recommendations of the Manitoba Accessibility Advisory Council, Manitoba is likely to introduce this year a new law defending the right to accessibility.

The stated goal is to prevent and eliminate the barriers faced by persons with disabilities in all aspects of life.

The process for establishing clear and attainable objectives is undertaken in consultation with persons with disabilities and also with companies and municipalities, to address all the points which will improve access to public services and raise awareness of these issues.
