From now on, a job seeker that types jobs.ca will be redirected to jobWings careers network. The largest Canadian editor of specialized career related sites announced it has acquired the rights to the Internet domain name jobs.ca from Brain Wave Holdings Inc.
The simplicity of this domain name have been a major asset in the transaction. As Manuel Francisci, jobWings president puts it: “Jobs.ca is definitively the most intuitive domain name for the Canadian workforce.”
This decision falls within jobWings current approach of choosing generic website names such as the ones it already possesses: CV.ca, Resignation.ca and RateMyEmployer.ca. “This is a logical outcome of what we have built for the last 13 years in the digital recruitment advertising space and a great foundation for what’s to come”, says Mr. Francisci.
jobWings will use jobs.ca as an entry point to the existing network. JobWings Careers operates 20 niche job boards including ITjobs.ca, Adminjobs.ca and Retail.ca, all federated under Publipac.ca. To find your way through this profusion of websites, the company also offers the job aggregator Nicejob.ca.
