A different kind of message in a bottle

It sounds a bit like a remake of the movie Message in a Bottle, except that the ending of the story, which takes place in France, should be happier. Paul Landowski had an original idea to help job hunters from Alsace—inserting a dozen mini-CVs in 10,000 packs of bottled water. The operation will be implemented in partnership with the Celtic brand of mineral water, which is also printing the CVs. The bottles are then to be distributed in all the region’s supermarkets and health food stores.

Since the CVs are anonymous, interested employers are to contact Paul Landowski, who will play the role of intermediary with the job hunters. He explains that his initiative to put candidates in touch with recruiters stemmed from his own difficulties finding work in the region.

If the experiment works, it will be repeated with a new batch of 20,000 packs—proof positive that sometimes it doesn’t take a big investment to shake up the job market!
