What we are looking for:

The HR Business Partner will be supporting the Global HR Leads in driving the human capital strategy. As a key partner to our global business lines, you will contribute towards innovation and continual improvement to enhance Global Human Resources best practices. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor by focusing on driving people plans with a focus on talent & culture.

Your responsibilities:

  • Understand the business plans, objectives and operating environment of your client groups in order to translate business needs into integrated HR solutions;
  • Influence and coach People Managers to support them in driving high engagement with their teams, supporting them with employee relations ensuring that company values prevail and that outcomes respects relevant legislation;
  • Work in collaboration with talent acquisition and support recruitment initiatives by being on the forefront of workforce planning and identification of company-wide talent;
  • Partner with the business to identify learning and development solutions to build future-focused capabilities within the assigned client group;
  • Work closely with our Total Rewards center of excellence to focus on the key elements that will enable us to attract, motivate and retain talent to achieve our desired business results;
  • Manage the implementation and launches of all HR programs in your client groups;
  • Provide recommendations on the design, facilitation, and implementation of HR solutions to ensure alignment with the client groups’ strategic development and long-term planning;
  • Use analytics insights to inform our future focused people strategy;
  • Boost and optimize the employee experience through the lens of all employee moments to ensure high engagement;
  • Ensure we have succession plans in place for key roles and special focus on developing successors and high potential employees;
  • Drive a performance oriented and learning culture and supporting projects aligned to this journey;
  • Identify human capital risks;
  • Drive a diverse and inclusive environment by supporting D&I strategy.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations and/or related fields;
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation (or equivalent);
  • More than 5 years of experience in a HR Business Partner role; Strong HR & Business acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, professional demeanor, and attitude;
  • Ability to think, act and execute on a strategic level and interact with division executives and senior level managers;
  • Experience coaching and managing employees through complex issues;
  • Strong team player who has experience working in multi-site environments;
  • Ability to deliver projects and assignments on budget, on time and on quality;
  • Ability to articulate oneself effectively verbally and in writing with a variety of audiences;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work; and manage projects from conception to implementation;
  • Experience in the financial industry would be an asset;
  • Strong knowledge of Quebec labor laws;
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
