Job Description

  • Act as a resource person for managers and employees for all payroll questions via email and telephone
  • Processing, validating, preparing and sending ROEs, etc. for terminations
  • Processing of files from lawyers or other sources as required
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly remittances (DAS - payment of various unions - meals - etc)
  • Preparing year-end T2200s
  • Answer questions and prepare financial information related to payroll, CSST, employment insurance, unions, etc.
  • Carrying out checks and verifications before the end of the payroll period - payroll processing is carried out on a weekly basis (3 different payroll cycles)

Qualifications

To join our team, you need:

  • DEC in administration or a field relevant to HR, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar position;
  • Membership in good standing with the Canadian Payroll Association (Level 1, an asset);
  • Experience in high-volume payroll production in a large company (an asset);
  • Good knowledge of an integrated human resources system, ideally Workday, or equivalent (SAP, Ceridian, ADP, etc).
  • Very good knowledge of Excel;
  • Written and spoken English and French as in your daily tasks you will interact with internal clients across Canada.
