What we are looking for:

With a purpose to transform our practices and procedures for a resilient and sustainable impact, the Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will provide strategic leadership to design and implement a global strategy that will integrate diversity, inclusion and belonging into the foundation of our Culture.

Reporting to the Global Head of Culture and Talent Development, you will act as change agent and leverage your passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion to help us build a rich, multifaceted culture in line with Fiera Capital’s current and future ambitions.

Your responsibilities :

  • Lead the DE& I Committee in developing and implementing an organization wide vision, strategy, and delivery plan to evolve Fiera Capital into a fully inclusive organization;
  • Be a thought leader in the organization on all aspects of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; bringing innovative ideas and relevant solutions that drive accountability and transparency; serve as the board and counsel Leader for the Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion council
  • Advise, guide, and facilitate Leadership & Talent Development throughout the organization to ensure diversity and inclusion is embedded in all of their work. Act as the principal ambassador of diversity and inclusion training offering to advance awareness, understanding and action.
  • Collaborate with ESG and other internal teams to integrate our principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the management of our assets and relationships with our investment partners;
  • Review the organization’s workplace, policies, and procedures, ensuring that these are inclusive;
  • Enhance people practices across the entire talent lifecycle and build inclusion capabilities in every leader, manager, and team member;
  • Partner with key talent teams to identify and develop individual retention strategies for top diverse talent;
  • Support and guide the development of initiatives and programs to promote diversity hiring;
  • Manage initiatives and projects that involve collaboration with various stakeholders; Responsible for end-to-end project management, ensuring timelines, communication and key deliverables are being met;
  • Partner with External Communications to engage employees in our diversity, inclusion, and outreach work internally and with external partners;
  • Drive the content to tell our story internally and externally, working with our Communications on our DE&I global brand strategy and messaging;
  • Stay abreast and Provide thought leadership on DE&I by monitor external diversity trends and being well-networked within the community of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion practitioners.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources or other related fields;
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in successfully leading, building, and maintaining a global diversity and inclusion strategy;
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to instill global vision and drive change
  • Highly collaborative, strong relationship building skills and ability to interact and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
  • Uses strong communication, listening, and negotiation skills to deliver messages in a clear and compelling manner;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices and trends in diversity, inclusion and belonging, including familiarity with key concepts (e.g. cultural competence, unconscious bias, etc.);
  • Experience managing inclusion, equity, diversity, anti-racism related initiatives, training, and programs;
  • Superior analytical skills with demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize information to develop strategic business plans and translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy;
  • Experience working directly with diverse communities globally;
  • Expertise in future thinking and enabling long-term strategies and visions;
  • Proven agility and adaptability when working in a dynamic environment;
  • Strong experience leading the planning and delivery of large projects and initiatives globally;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. French proficiency is an asset.
