Human Resources Administrator (14 month contract)

West Fraser is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to join our Vancouver Corporate Human Resources team. This hands-on, individual contributor role will be located in Vancouver. Qualified candidates need to have general Human Resources administrative experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, works effectively with internal and external contacts, has proven abilities to manage multiple projects concurrently through to successful completion, and enjoys the challenges of working in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong administrative skills, a strong focus on attention to detail with sound judgement, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Core Responsibilities

  • Retirement Plan Benefit Administration: Administers and oversees benefits processes and administration for our retirement health insurance benefits.
  • General Human Resources Administration including long service awards, benefits billing and assisting with various Human Resources communications.
  • Retirement plan administration including acting as a resource for retiree questions and providing assistance where needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Experience with benefits, tools and processes an asset
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and drive projects to successful implementation
  • Proven track record of working effectively with people across a large, complex organization
  • Experience with UKG HCM system an asset.
  • Highly proficient in English
