Your future role on our team

Join BBA and make the most of your experience as Department Manager, Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP). You'll lead the HRBP team across Canada as well as internationally (Chile & USA) to maintain high quality business partnerships and contribute to the success of the firm. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, and supported by a dedicated and committed team of HR business partners, you'll be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving HR programs, policies, working conditions, performance management program, procedures, HR technology, effective work tools and best practices. You will act as a leader and coach for the HRBP team to provide an exceptional employee experience throughout the employee life cycle.

You'll also play a key role as a partner to the senior leaders regarding any matters about managing human resources and change management, in accordance with our corporate values, mission, vision and strategy.

An overview of your mandates and responsibilities

  • Turn the global HR strategic plan and vision into a tactical plan within the HRBP team.
  • Build and maintain strong and positive relationships with internal clients (Operations, Shared Services and Business lines) to ensure fluid and open communication.
  • Be a key leader in partnering with internal clients and HR specialists to aim for best-in-class practices to attract and retain talent.
  • Partner and work closely with HR specialists to express operational challenges and ensure continuous improvement and successful deployment of HR programs.
  • Facilitate any HR program deployment or the annual people process cycle within the business through the HRBP team while mastering change management.
  • Encourage ingenuity, seeking creative solutions and innovation to ensure a high-quality employee experience.
  • Serve as a leader and coach for HRBPs, overseeing their professional development and team engagement.
  • Foster and maintain strong collaboration within the HRBP team and across the HR speciality teams.
  • Use HR data and business intelligence and seek market trends to create a robust retention and engagement action plan.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Hold a university degree in human resource management, business administration or industrial relations combined with
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience
  • Certified human resources professional (CRHA or CHRP)
  • Work experience in the following areas: engineering, technical or consulting in a professional setting
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both spoken and written, in both English and French
  • Be recognized for your leadership based on employee engagement
  • Hold a proven coaching approach and the ability to influence and persuade while being flexible
  • Be a dependable and upstanding individual with an irreproachable sense of ethics
  • Be available to travel occasionally to our other offices across Canada
  • Asset: Work experience in a private company or partnership
