We're looking for a Total Rewards Specialist to support and maintain the integrity and competitiveness of our global compensation programs. You will be working closely with the broader Total Rewards team to conduct market research, program/system audits and provide the business with data driven compensation recommendations. You will partner closely with the broader People team to support and guide decision making and program design.

Your primary duties in the role will be focussed on supporting the Total Rewards team to complete: job description / evaluation reviews, Workday management of compensation programs / approvals and compensation event administration. While working remotely or in a hybrid work arrangement, a blend of virtual (in accordance with Hootsuite's distributed workforce strategy), and in Hootsuite's Vancouver or Toronto office, you will report to Manager, Compensation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Support the internal job evaluation process through initial job description review and drafting in partnership with the hiring manager and HR business partner
  • Conduct frequent HRIS audits to allow for clean, accurate reporting and administration of programs. Make system or process recommendations that mitigate risk and/or provide opportunity to streamline
  • Partner with HRIS Analyst to build and manage to recurring comp event timelines and payroll schedules. Communicate key dates and dependencies to ensure all programs run smoothly
  • Own the administration and communication of our global vehicle program; work closely with 3rd party vendors to allocate and manage vehicle roster & budgets. Make recommendations to improve efficiencies and employee experience
  • Complete comprehensive analysis and audit of global compensation programs; review for market competitiveness, cost effectiveness and opportunities to streamlined administration
  • Lead the participation in annual and targeted market compensation survey; maintain all pre and post submission documentation to capture any year over year changes, including job mapping
  • Prepare and audit ad hoc salary ranges as required for approval; document decision making and rationale for audit trail purposes
  • Provide the business with compensation recommendations that are aligned with approved structures, taking internal equity and external market conditions into account
  • Review and approve job req and hires in Workday; troubleshoot and escalate as necessary
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Intermediate level experience in compensation, total rewards, data or financial analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience
