This is a Hybrid Role: The successful candidate will be based out of their home in the GTA and expected to travel 1 day per week in-person to our Toronto Support Centre and travel to our Practices as required.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources and located in the GTA, you will work closely with our Director of Operations, Regional Managers and Practice Managers while also collaborating with other Support Centre stakeholders to provide overall HR leadership and strategic support to your assigned regions. As a collaborative member of the HR team, you will determine practice level needs, and be proactive in identifying, designing, and implementing HR solutions that are in alignment with dentalcorp's overall strategic priorities.

In this role, you will

  • Act as a resource to provide direction, advice, and guidance to all regional stakeholders on strategic, tactical, and operational issues related to Human Resources
  • Identify, and recommend changes that will improve service delivery, provide input on organizational issues, and share best practices
  • Collaborate with other teams within the People function and within the broader organization to offer the best solutions to our dental practices
  • Complete fair and balanced investigations in response to employee issues
  • Coach and provide expert guidance to Practice Managers, Regional Managers and Director of Operations in areas such as: performance management, absenteeism, workplace investigations, redeployment, terminations, team member development, team member engagement, change management etc.
  • Coach Practice Managers and Regional Managers to drive an excellent culture experience at the Dental Practice and to build high performing, diverse and inclusive teams
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and sustainable solutions
  • Build credibility and trust among team members; resolve issues and concerns with compassion and follow-through
  • Consult and advise on talent reviews and succession planning
  • Travel will required up to 50% of the time when it is safe and reasonable to do so

What we're looking for

  • Post-graduate education in HR or related field; CHRL designation, or in progress, is considered an asset
  • 5-7 years of Human Resources Business Partnering experience
  • Demonstrated passion for HR - up to date on current legislation, trends, and best practices
  • Experience leading workplace investigations, and implementing resolutions
  • A true employee engagement champion and experience supporting engagement in a multi-unit business environment
  • Strong influence and relationship management skills; ability to develop and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to analyze information, and develop strategies to address
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio)
