The incumbent will execute Change Management activities for Insurance Canada, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. They will deliver/coordinate all internal communications (and some external communication initiatives as required) including the management of Insurance Canada's communication channels and processes, content creation, planning and development, editing, execution and reporting.

What you'll be doing…


Change Management:

  • Ensuring new and existing Insurance Canada programs and initiatives achieve objectives by increasing employee/partner adoption and usage through the execution of change management plans
  • Support project managers and product leads by integrating change management into implementation plans
  • Establish cross-functional KPIs and dashboards to monitor progress, track and report issues; conduct impact analyses, and post implementation deep-dives to continue refining Insurance Canada's change management practices
  • Create and implement change management strategies in collaboration with channel partners primarily focusing, but not limited to, regulatory, risk and operational initiatives as well as net new business strategies

Communications:

  • Contribute to the creative development, wordsmithing and execution of high impact, visual and engaging content for internal and external audiences
  • Build, maintain and continuously improves a centralized repository and governance structure for Insurance Canada's change portfolio, engaging senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Works closely with internal partners to determine new and innovative ways to communicate business material to maximize employee engagement, write high-impact content, and work closely with key partners and broader Communications teams to align communications to the field and share best practices

General Duties:

  • Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Creates an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
  • Build a high performance environment and contributes to a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates team members

What you need to succeed…

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma
  • Several years experience leading change management and communications within Financial Services
  • Knowledge and understanding of Canadian Insurance operations and partner functions; sound knowledge of regulatory considerations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
