Job Summary

The HR Coordinator, Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and deployment of a new ERP system. This position involves collaborating with various departments to develop solutions that align with the district’s strategic objectives and support the implementation of new systems and processes. Additionally, this role will enhance organizational efficiency by analyzing business processes and current workflows, identifying areas for improvement in programs such as attendance and disability management, labor relations and broader district related initiatives. The Business Analyst will be responsible for creating detailed documentation, conducting testing, and providing training and support to ensure successful user adoption. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.


*This position is a two-year temporary assignment*

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their business needs and challenges.
  • Ensure all required functionalities are implemented by validating and tracing them back to requirements.
  •  Design and build workflow processes to increase efficiency and support automation.
  • Assess strategic and operational departmental needs, analyze and present options, and recommend and implement business solutions and process enhancements based on the overarching goals and objectives of the department.
  • Develop and maintain reference documentation such as business process workflow charts, user manuals, and reference materials.
  • Participate in system implementation and upgrades and lead testing and training initiatives.
  • Identify and document defects during testing phases.
  • Create comprehensive test plans and troubleshoot issues.
  • Develop and maintain use cases, training plans and other project artifacts.
  • Guide HR team members in querying and compiling information from HR systems.
  • Collaborate with HR leaders and other departments to define data and system issues, develop recommendations, and evaluate potential improvements.
  • Provide training and end-user support to ensure successful user adoption.
  • Work together with the Systems and Analytics team to ensure data accuracy and integrity as well as provide analytical advice to HR leaders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of three years of experience in ERP projects or similar roles Advanced skills in tools such as Visio, SQL, VBA and PowerBI.
    An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Relevant certifications in business analysis and experience working on HR Systems are an asset.

The salary range for this position is $78,856 to $98,570 per year with comprehensive benefits package and Municipal Pension.


Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of qualifications and ability to meet the key requirements of the job, and consideration of internal equity comparisons. The midpoint of the range represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications, and experience for the position.
