THE OPPORTUNITY

The Training Coordinator will work closely with the Learning & Organizational Development team to identify, plan, and coordinate in-person and on-line training events for Inland employees, especially those working in areas of the business that support Truck and Equipment Service.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide system administration support for the Learning Management System (Compass)
  • Coordinate training opportunities for Technicians in US and Canada
  • Track and report status of technician certifications to ensure Inland meets OEM Gold status certification requirements
  • Track and report the status of service training (service managers, service advisors)
  • Coordinate training events and the enrollment of training programs including selecting training locations & dates, coordinating travel & accommodation, distributing pre/post-training assignments and ensure successful support for events ensuring needed materials are available
  • Reconcile training expenses and ensure costs are billed to appropriate departments/locations
  • Ensure training completion records are recorded correctly within Inland’s LMS
  • Partner with Parts, Service, and other department leaders (ex. Equipment Technical Manager, Corporate Parts Manager) to identify annual training needs and create a calendar of in-person and on-line training courses.
  • Distribute post-training feedback and assessments to learners and report results to appropriate leaders.
  • Track and report equipment department training (Case, Link Belt, Tigercat, etc.) to ensure technicians have completed required training
  • Manage and monitor the technician apprenticeship program (Canada) to ensure employees are progressing through the program in a timely manner
  • Manage the Canada job grant application process and ensure that Inland is receiving the maximum funding allowed by government programs

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, Forms
  • Familiarity with business technologies, such as CRM, Learning Management Systems, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
