We are looking for a Sr Technical Recruiter to support our business growth in Toronto. This is a full-time, permanent position. The Senior Technical Recruiter will be reporting to the CEO. You will be responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and providing a shortlist of qualified candidates for technical roles. You will also network, attend events, participate in meetups, and engage with potential candidates to promote our company.

How you will contribute:

  • Build effective networks and relationships to maintain a strong pipeline of top talent for recurring and hard-to-fill roles within the technology team.
  • Own the recruitment cycle end-to-end, managing multiple roles across Engineering (Full Stack, Front-End, DevOps, QA, Mobile, Product, etc.)
  • Source potential candidates from LinkedIn, databases, social media, and other various platforms
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates.
  • Provide an exceptional candidate experience, creating meaningful relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
  • Consult with Hiring Managers to identify staff requirements and job-specific objectives.
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards.
  • Screen resumes and perform technical pre-screening calls to assess candidate fit.
  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates.
  • Partner with the HR team on departmental objectives and ad-hoc projects
  • Attend job fairs, meet-ups, and careers events.
  • Continuously improve your recruitment key results (time-to-fill, response rates, interview success rates, etc.)
  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.
  • Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team.
  • Support Talent Acquisition and HR activities as required.

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience as a Technical Recruiter, in an agency or corporate setting, within the payments industry
  • Post-secondary Degree and/or Diploma in HR or Talent Acquisition
  • Proven technical expertise and ability to understand and explain job requirements for technical roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g. phone, virtual, in-person, etc.)
  • Strong client focus and commitment to continuous improvement, ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, must pursue conscious cost-containment efforts in recruiting and continually seek new sourcing options.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills, with a keen focus on delivering business results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems, experience with BambooHR is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The successful candidate will be working at our Leslie Street Head Office, Mon to Fri 900am to 530pm.
