We are seeking a Project Lead, Workforce Planning & Talent Strategy to manage initiatives addressing the evolving needs of Ontario's automotive and mobility sector's workforce. Reporting to the Director of Workforce Planning and Talent Strategy, this role involves collaborating with stakeholders to nurture essential talent for sustained success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead innovative and cutting-edge projects alongside industry partners, educational institutions, and government bodies.
  • Develop and implement programs and initiatives to attract, upskill, and retain top talent aligning with sustainability goals and DEI initiatives.
  • Analyze trends, research, and labor market data to identify skills gaps, crafting targeted programs.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and storytelling to enhance impact and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop cutting-edge workforce and talent strategies, contributing to Ontario's leadership in automotive and mobility.
  • Support the project team with updates, reports, presentations, and oversight committee requirements.
  • Facilitate meetings with oversight groups, ensuring alignment with milestones, deliverables, and budget.
  • Lead engagement with industry partners and stakeholders, managing third-party vendor services as needed.
  • Manage a project team tracker for progress, milestones, budget, forecasting, and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, workforce planning, talent management, or project management (PMO experience desirable).
  • Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, Economics, Political Science, or Public Policy.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities and proficiency in impactful data visualization using PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Consultative mindset, adept in navigating ambiguous circumstances and complex structures.
  • Innovative problem-solving approach with relationship-building skills.
  • Experience implementing and managing high complexity programs with multiple partners.
  • Superior project and time management skills.
  • Automotive and mobility industry knowledge is an asset.
