What you’ll do

  • Responsible for full-cycle recruitment of new dealers (independent owner/operators of our Canadian Tire and Party City stores) including attracting, sourcing, screening, interviewing and selecting candidates. Accountable to fill vacancies with the best available talent (including Canadian Tire Corporate employees, Store Employees, and the external candidates)

  • Consult with Dealer Relations leaders and Business Partners to develop recruiting strategies for Dealer selection. Collaborate with peers to implement appropriate sourcing strategies, paying attention to inclusiveness initiatives and creative sourcing techniques

  • Support the campus and alumni strategy, by building close working relationships with identified campus program leads and alumni relations resources, and participating in events, networking and speaking engagements

  • Cultivate local market initiatives and sourcing across Canada by analyzing competitive intelligence to provide recommendations to strengthen our brand awareness of the Dealer opportunity

  • Leverage various print and non-print marketing materials and online social recruiting platforms to raise awareness of the Dealer opportunity. Networking, content curation and sharing relevant content to market

  • Collaborate with the Dealer Relations leaders, Business Partners and Dealers throughout the selection process, leveraging tools and selection approaches to arrive at a calibrated Dealer candidate(s) selection decision. Ensure the recruitment process is administered and facilitated within the framework the Dealer Competency model

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business-related field plus a Recruitment or Human Resources Designation is preferred

  • Minimum of 7-10 years related experience

  • Demonstrated interviewing and assessment skills, including telephone, virtual and in-person behavioural-based interviewing

  • Strong communication skills in French and English able to educate and consult with leaders and stakeholders regarding recruitment processes, interviewing skills and relevant legislation

  • Expertise in social recruitment platforms, talent acquisition trends and market intelligence

  • Bilingual French/English required
