Position Overview:
Brock Canada is seeking a HR Recruiter Assistant who will be responsible for coordinating, facilitating and assisting the full recruitment process and related services of hiring and onboarding as well as providing some general internal HR support to hiring managers and team members.

The position is located at the Nisku, AB head office.
Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with the opportunity to work overtime based on business need.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
  • Advertising, sourcing, screening, phone interviewing and assessing candidates
  • Developing effective practices to ensure a qualified, high calibre candidate pool is presented to hiring managers.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active candidate recruiting,
  • Utilize job boards and social media to efficiently build networks and develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of hiring needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required but not limited to:
  • Previous experience in a recruitment/administrative position.
  • Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
  • Enhanced communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficient levels in Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking ability, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and/or urgent requests.
  • Excels operating in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Available to work some overtime and/or weekends
