Job Description: The HR Manager assists in aligning the talent strategy with the company's business priorities to drive results. The HR Manager will provide policy guidance and interpretation. Provides guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning. Will have operational responsibilities in all HR areas including recruitment, talent development, change management, employee relations, performance management, pension & benefits administration, engagement, retention, succession planning, employment law, regulatory compliance, and HR reporting. Roles & Responsibilities: Develop HR processes for organizational development that will support the strategic growth of the business. Collaborate with colleagues at the local & global locations (Markham, Belleville, Mexico, Arizona & Turkey) to ensure that HR aids in the achievement of goals. Develop & enhance HR processes such as recruitment, retention, compensation, benefits, learning & development, and talent management. Promote learning culture for employees’ personal and professional growth. Assess training needs and recommend learning solutions; source facilitators, organize training, record and file all related training documentation. Review, track and document compliance with mandatory training requirements. Be the subject matter expert and controller of the Learning Management System. Review, update and communicate internal policies. Ensure statutory compliance with government regulations. Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, complaints or other issues. Maintain an open-door policy in fielding general HR questions and concerns from employees. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital. Advise and support supervisors/managers/directors/general managers on strategic matters, helping them implement high-performing, integrated HR practices. Advise on and manage to resolution all levels of employee relations issues. Analyze and interpret various types of employee reports, such as compensation, job levels, and turnover risks, to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions. Coach and provide expertise to supervisory/managerial staff on performance management and employee development goals. Collaborate with the global HR teams for knowledge sharing and leveraging opportunities. Advise global team members from both the Military Aerospace & ACPA division, as well as other Amphenol divisions, on Canadian employment law and assist as needed with their Canadian based employee situations, recruitment, terminations, and immigration queries. Be an active Pension Committee and Health & Safety Committee member. Active involvement in the annual year-end pension reporting process and annual benefits renewal negotiation. Accomplish departmental objectives by managing the HR Representative to meet quality, on-time deliverables on assigned tasks. Qualifications: Business or related degree with a postgraduate in Human Resources Management preferred. Certified Human Resources Leadership (CHRL) designation preferred. 5 + years of HR management experience. Experience in all disciplines of HR. Recruitment experience required. Experience with ADP Work Force Now preferred. Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment with a salaried and hourly workforce preferred. Able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines. A high degree of integrity & confidentiality. Able to influence effectively across all levels of the organization. Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, analytical, and independent judgment skills to support a customer-centric, collaborative environment. Ability to build positive, productive relationships with all levels of employees. Experience working in a global business environment will be an asset. Ability to travel as needed The base salary range for this position is $90,000 – $115,000 annually. In determining the rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol’s total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and membership in our Defined Contribution Pension Plan. Requirements
Requires a business degree and at least 5 years of HR management experience, preferably with a CHRL designation. Experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
