Job summary
The ideal candidate will oversee the full scope of Human Resources activities while partnering with the organization to support strategic business initiatives. This individual will help strengthen and enhance the organization’s people practices by planning, implementing, and continuously evaluating HR policies, programs, and processes. Responsibilities Promote and reinforce safe work practices across the organization by consistently leading by example. Support and uphold all safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and encouraging a strong safety culture. Ensure all plant-level HR processes are consistently followed, maintained, and properly documented in accordance with established standards. Partner with recruitment agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure recruitment activities progress efficiently and effectively. Foster and maintain a positive, respectful, and productive employee relations environment. Partner with the Leadership Team to develop and execute long-term HR strategies, objectives, and initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Coordinate annual performance reviews and interim performance management processes. Coach and guide leaders on providing effective, timely, and appropriate feedback based on the situation and audience. Support managers and employees throughout the progressive discipline process, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with company policies. Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support plant and HR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Qualifications 6-10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably with exposure to workplace health and safety systems. University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. CHRP or CPHL designation is considered an asset. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset. Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills. Experience with disability management and workplace accommodations. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent influencing and relationship-building abilities, with a proven ability to gain buy-in from key stakeholders. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills. Proven ability to apply risk assessment principles to operational activities and workplace processes. Knowledge or experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis is considered an asset.
