Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the full recruitment cycle for specialized, technical, unionized, and non-unionized positions across Velan. In partnership with hiring managers, this individual plays a key role in attracting, selecting, and onboarding top talent to support the company’s operational and strategic objectives. REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. * Minimum of five (5) years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in a manufacturing environment. * Experience recruiting both unionized and non-unionized employees. * Experience recruiting skilled trades, production personnel, professionals, and management-level employees. * Knowledge of collective agreements and applicable labor laws. * Proficiency with recruitment tools, job posting platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite. * Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written. * Excellent communication and influencing skills. * Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities effectively. * Customer service and results-oriented approach. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Demonstrated autonomy, initiative, and discretion. * Ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment with a high volume of recruitment activity. * Ability to build trusted relationships with managers, candidates, and external partners. SPECIAL CONDITIONS * Occasional availability to participate in job fairs and recruitment activities outside regular working hours. * Occasional travel between Velan sites, including the Montreal and Granby facilities, as required.
