Your opportunity at Wyloo Our HR Generalist delivers hands-on human resources support, based in Toronto and reporting to the Senior Manager, P&C based in Perth, Australia you’ll partner with leaders and employees across our teams in Toronto, Thunder Bay and Esker as we advance our Eagle’s Nest Project. Travel to Thunder Bay and our Esker site will be part of the role as required.

Your responsibilities: Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding. Advise leaders on our employment policies and procedures in line with Ontario employment legislation. Support our Indigenous workforce commitments, from coordinating recruitment and retention initiatives with community partners, through to managing federal and provincial wage reimbursement submissions. Respond to day-to-day employee queries. Prepare employment correspondence. Keep employee data flowing accurately through Dayforce and Powerpay. Coordinate mandatory training and compliance programs. Support engagement initiatives and team events. Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Toronto office including welcoming visitors, facilities and vendor liaison, office procurement and the coordination of new starter workstations, IT access and building access

The judgement, discretion and follow-through you bring to everyday interactions and to sensitive matters alike will help us build a workplace where people feel supported and where our people, culture and community engagement move forward together.

What you’ll bring to Wyloo You bring 3-5 years' experience in an HR generalist role, supported by a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field. You have a solid working knowledge of federal and Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act and you are confident coordinating end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and offboarding as well as administering accurate payroll data.

Experience administering government-funded employment or wage subsidy programs would set you up well for this role and any prior work with Indigenous workforce programs or in the mining, resources or project development sectors would be a genuine advantage. An understanding of Indigenous community engagement principles and the cultural context of Northern Ontario is highly valued.

Beyond your technical experience, you bring a practical, hands-on approach and are comfortable taking ownership of your work in a small, collaborative team. You’re organized, thoughtful and pay attention to the details that matter. You work confidently both independently and alongside others, communicate clearly, use sound judgement and take pride in delivering work that has real impact. You’re adaptable and comfortable working across time zones when needed and you approach your work with integrity, respect and a genuine commitment to doing things well.
