About the role
We are seeking a professional, organized, and people-focused Part-Time HR Manager to support the day-to-day human resources functions of our organization. This role combines remote work with in-office responsibilities and is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
The HR Manager will oversee employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, policy administration, performance management, compliance, and general HR operations, while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
Manage employee records, HR documentation, and confidential personnel files Ensure compliance with employment standards, workplace policies, and company procedures Assist with updating and implementing HR policies and employee handbooks Support payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee leave tracking Track employee vacation balances, sick days, personal days, and other time-off requests Maintain accurate attendance and leave records
Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate job postings, resume screening, interviews, and hiring processes Conduct onboarding and orientation for new employees Support managers with hiring strategies and workforce planning
Employee Relations & Performance Management
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and workplace concerns Support conflict resolution and maintain a positive work environment Coordinate and conduct annual employee performance reviews Assist managers with performance improvement plans and employee development initiatives Support employee engagement and retention efforts
Offboarding & Compliance
Coordinate employee offboarding processes, including exit interviews and documentation Ensure proper collection of company property and removal of system access for departing employees Maintain compliance with workplace regulations and HR best practices Support workplace investigations and documentation when required
Operational Support
Partner with management on HR planning and organizational initiatives Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate internal records Coordinate training, health & safety requirements, and compliance programs Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or management role Strong knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll software CHRP designation required
Position Details
