About the role

Payroll & Benefits Coordinator  Reporting to Senior Compensation, Payroll & Benefits Specialist provides administrative support and guidance to all employees with regards to payroll and benefits functions. This is a hybrid position, with the expectation of being onsite three days per week.   Compensation

  Responsibilities

Administer payroll‑related employee changes and data integrity in SAP Success Factors, including new hires, terminations, employee profile updates, transfers, reorganizations, and manager changes; ensures relevant department and team members are notified, Assist with payroll preparation, including new hire data & tax form verification, timecards review & adjustment, pay rate changes, employee RRSP and benefits changes, and special payroll payments & deductions, Provide backup support for end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 800 hourly and salaried employees, Administer employee attendance, including absence data entry in our time management system (UKG Dimensions) Support year‑end payroll activities and payroll audits, Respond to employee payroll inquiries with a high standard of customer service, providing clear and accurate information, Administer the employee health benefits plan, including new hire enrolment, employee changes, terminations, and life event updates, Support the administration of short‑term and long‑term disability programs, including coordination with vendors, employees, and internal stakeholders, Administer annual benefits re-enrollment process, including collecting plan change applications and updating benefits data and premium changes in both benefits and payroll systems, Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and liaise with benefits providers to resolve issues efficiently. Administer employee access to HR systems (Success Factors, UKG Pro, UKG Dimensions) by registering accounts and requesting password resets through our shared services provider, support employees with account registrations by clarifying processes and providing relevant guides when required, Ensure strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information, Participate in ad hoc Payroll & Benefits - related projects, Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsSkills & Qualifications

Attention to detail, demonstrated ability to work with complex data sets and maintain a high level of accuracy, Strong organizational, prioritization, and time‑management skills in a deadline‑driven environment, Self‑directed with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional partners, Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and tact, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), Flexible and willing to learn new tasks, Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.   Experience

Intermediate level, 2-3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience. Knowledge of payroll legislation, as well as employment standards. Working knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (or similar HRIS), and UKG time and attendance is considered an asset. Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills (v-lookups, pivot tables). Experience within an aerospace or manufacturing environment is considered an asset.

Education

College diploma or undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Payroll, Business Administration,     Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certificate, or working towards, is an asset Experience with SAP Success Factors, UKG Pro, and/or UKG Dimensions is considered an asset.
