Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1–2 years of HR experience with exposure to employee and union relations (e.g., supporting investigations, attending grievance meetings as note-taker, preparing documentation, assisting with performance management), preferably in a unionized environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG/UltiPro), ticketing/tracking systems, and a demonstrated interest in professional development with a desire to progress within Employee and Union Relations toward a Specialist position.
- Covid-19 (including booster) & flu vaccinations are recommended
- All positions are subject to a criminal record check (paid by Atira), including a vulnerable sector check.
Application Process:
To apply, please submit a cover letter along with your current resume, demonstrating how you meet or exceed the qualifications outlined above. Resumes with a Cover Letter unique to Atira will receive priority in the review process. While candidates lacking specific experience may still be considered based on exceptional cover letters and transferable skills, preference will be given to qualified First Nations, Métis, and/or Inuit women, as well as Black women, women of colour, trans women, disabled women, and women from other equity-seeking groups.
