Job Description:

Senior Training Specialist

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to enhance the competencies of the OLG Customer Care teams by designing, developing and delivering training that boosts employee performance in a manner that meets and exceeds business needs.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Manager Customer Care Learning Experience, you will be empowered to:

  • Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of work performed by OLG Customer Care teams in order to identify and understand training needs and opportunities
  • Develop and deliver training programs for identified project needs and skill gaps
  • Develop and revise training materials to supplement recommended training programs
  • Plan and deliver training programs across multiple formats, including in-person, virtual, and e-learning, to effectively engage target audiences and optimize content delivery.
  • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees’ day-to-day performance
  • Review ongoing programs to ensure training material and content is up-to-date and reflective of any changes
  • Continuously seek areas of improvement within department processes and procedures based on trends and leading practices to ensure most effective training and delivery
  • Achieve and maintain training quality and stakeholder satisfaction scores
  • Identify and escalate employee performance and development concerns to management to ensure a high performing work culture

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME

Education & Experience:

  • University degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Training, Education or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience planning and delivering training across the full training cycle
  • Demonstrated high level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality due to daily interaction with sensitive operational and employee data
  • Ability to manage large training groups over extended periods of time during onboarding process
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design theory and adult learning principles
  • Demonstrated ability in collaborating across the business on complex and challenging problems
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and quality standards while managing multiple projects
  • Experience with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
  • Understanding of gaming, entertainment or other similar industries (desirable)
  • Understanding of Contact Centre environments (desirable)
