Position | Location: Payroll and Benefits Administrator, Calgary (Hybrid)
The Opportunity We’re looking for a Payroll and Benefits Administrator who brings a strong sense of care for people, a commitment to accuracy, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources. This role plays an important part in supporting our people and shaping their day-to-day experience at Trace. You’ll be a trusted resource for employees and leaders, ensuring payroll and benefits processes run smoothly while also identifying ways to improve them. Responsibilities Payroll & Benefits Administration Process biweekly full-cycle payroll (hourly and salaried) for all Trace divisions. Administer employee group benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, billing, and terminations. Provide clear, timely support to employees and supervisors on payroll and benefits matters. Employee Support and Experience Deliver timesheet and benefits orientations to new employees. Support a positive employee experience through a responsive and helpful service-oriented approach. Manage disability claims (STD/LTD) and liaise with providers, employees and supervisors. Compliance and Reporting Complete year-end payroll processing activities Complete WCB premium reporting and related administration. Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and internal practices. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve payroll and benefit processes Contribute to building more efficient, consistent and scalable ways of working. Support documentation and continuous improvement across payroll and benefits.
About You and Your Qualifications Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3 years full-cycle payroll experience. Experience with benefits administration and disability claims management. Experience processing payroll across multiple provinces, with a strong understanding of CRA requirements and provincial employment standards. Experience with WCB reporting. Experience with Dayforce (Payroll) and Vantagepoint (Time Entry) is an asset.
