What you’ll do As a Pension Analyst, you’ll play a supportive role in administering pension plans and providing analytical and administration support. Here’s what you’ll do: Respond to plan inquiries and requests from clients promptly and professionally Assist in calculating and processing timely payment of termination, retirement, and death benefits for simple plans Support the consulting team in fostering strong relationships with clients Help coordinate information flow between clients and trustees Assist in reconciling plan assets and plan memberships Support the preparation of year-end annual pension statements Assist in preparing membership and asset data for actuarial valuations Apply and interpret basic pension benefit calculations in accordance with plan provisions and legislative requirements Work with pension databases to ensure data accuracy Attend internal training sessions to stay updated on industry trends and topics Participate in client meetings and presentations to add value Assist with special projects as required to support team goals What you bring We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with: A keen interest in pension administration and a desire to learn Post-secondary education (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science) or relevant courses related to Pension Administration Basic knowledge of Defined Benefit pension plans and provincial pension and tax legislation (an asset, but not required) Strong analytical and mathematical skills A strong client service focus with exceptional professional acumen The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with ease Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
