This is a student position that is 4 months in duration for the term: September-December. You must be a student registered in a Canadian College or University. This position is for students returning to school after their work term or requiring a placement as requirements for graduation. While not required, preference will be given to students enrolled in a registered Co-op program.

We are seeking a motivated and creative Employee Engagement Coordinator Student to join our team and support the design and delivery of impactful employee experience initiatives. This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise engagement programs, internal communications, culture-building, cross-functional collaboration, business planning and supporting broader business activities.

You will work closely with the Employee Engagement Advisor and various stakeholders to help bring engagement strategies to life, enhance employee connection, and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

What You’ll Do

Program & Event Coordination

Support the planning and execution of engagement initiatives, culture events, ERG events, volunteer days, town halls and social activities for the Team Experience Board, Mississauga Social Club and Wealth Platforms Engagement Committee Coordinate logistics such as scheduling, registrations, vendor communications, setting up venues, boardrooms, purchasing materials, ordering catering for events Track timelines, action items, and deliverables to ensure smooth program execution

Communications & Promotion

Support development of communication materials to promote engagement initiatives in the existing Teams channels Help maintain a content calendar and ensure messaging consistency across channels Submit forms and communication to Translations Create French translated forms and submit to Communications team

Insights & Reporting

Assist in compiling and analyzing employee feedback (surveys, pulse checks, event feedback) Identify trends and key themes to support program improvements

Committee & Stakeholder Support

Support coordination for engagement committees (e.g., scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking notes) Assist and support ad hoc projects aligned with business priorities and engagement strategy, such as engagement planning for 2027

Business Planning

Support the development of the annual employee engagement strategy, including identifying key priorities, initiatives, and success measures. Contribute to year-end planning activities to inform the engagement roadmap for the upcoming year. Assist in annual budget planning, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities. Track and monitor spend, providing insights and recommendations to optimize budget utilization. Support broader business planning processes, including coordination of timelines, inputs, and documentation. Assist in tracking and maintaining headcount data to support workforce planning activities Support the preparation of reports and presentations related to engagement metrics, budget, and planning activities

What You Bring

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Creative mindset with an interest in employee experience, culture, and engagement Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); familiarity with survey or design tools is an asset

The base salary for this position is between $45,600 - $68,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.

For our student opportunities, the base salary will be dependent on the number of work terms you have completed along with other factors depending on your program.
