Position Summary We are seeking a Recruitment & Admissions Advisor who is relationship-driven, proactive, and passionate about guiding prospective students through one of the most important decisions of their lives. Reporting Relationships Manager, Recruitment & Admissions
Duties and Responsibilities The Recruitment & Admissions Advisor is primarily responsible for increasing the quantity and quality of students enrolling in Ambrose University's Bachelor of Education program. Working closely with prospective students, the Advisor provides personalized guidance throughout the recruitment and admissions process, identifies and removes barriers to enrolment, and represents Ambrose at recruitment initiatives and events. This role combines strategic recruitment, student advising, and event coordination to support the University's enrolment objectives while embodying Ambrose's mission and values. Education • Initiate contact with prospective students, identify barriers to enrolment and present solutions. • Recruit (generate leads) applicants and work with them until they are registered students in the BEd cohorts (full-time/blended pathway) • Advise prospective students on the Education program, including promoting Ambrose (admissions, financial aid, and program information). • Responsible for personal communication with inquiries, applicants, new students, and current students. • Responsible for increasing the conversion of Education leads and inquiries to applicants to students. • Participate in opportunities to recruit future students to the Education program (e.g. Educational Assistants: locations, idenfiying barriers and overcoming them). • Organize and host Education recruitment and admissions events (e.g., Education Information Session, Open House, etc.) and current student events (e.g., New Student Orientation, Graduation, Program Day, etc.). • Ensure that cohort goals are met each year (Full-time and Part-time cohorts)
Qualifications Education and Experience • Undergraduate degree preferably from Ambrose and 1-2 years related experience, particularly in customer service. Skills • Ability to quickly learn and maintain substantial knowledge regarding undergraduate and graduate programs offered by institutions. • Strong information technology (e.g., Microsoft Office, Jenzabar) and administrative skills. • Ability to create and deliver presentations as required by the Manager of Recruitment and Admissions. • Ability to manage miscellaneous projects (e.g., travel schedules, assisting with planning events). • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize within tight deadlines. • Valid driver’s license with clear driving record; eligible to rent a car. • Heavy lifting is involved. Personal Characteristics • Be in agreement with the Ambrose mission and doctrinal statements • Must have a quality of spirit that will be reflected in a growing relationship with God and interpersonal relationships • High energy level that is reflected in good work habits and sound work ethic • Able to maintain confidentiality • Positive, approachable and friendly disposition • Sensitivity and ability to work with a diversity of people and cultural groups • Excellent verbal, written, and problem-solving skills • Excellent organizational and time management skills Duties and responsibilities performed within one's capabilities that do not constitute a major change may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of the supervisor either orally or in writing.
