About the role

Job Description

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Bilingual HR Administrator to join our Human Resources team.

In this role, you will support employees and leaders playing a hands‑on role in onboarding new employees, and providing day‑to‑day HR support. You will contribute directly to a positive employee experience while helping ensure our HR processes support safe, respectful, and effective operations across our network.

Working closely with the HR team, this role supports with employee inquiries, and assists with several HR initiatives and events. Responsibilities

Support new hire onboarding, including preparing documentation and coordinating orientation activities. Respond to employee and manager inquiries related to benefits, HR policies, programs, and processes, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Provide administrative support across all areas of Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration. Support payroll and benefits processes through timely and accurate data management. Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required. Maintain and update HR documentation, including policies, organizational charts, and training records.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR support or administration role within a fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment. Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Resourceful and proactive, with the ability to research issues, problem‑solve, and work independently. Bilingual- English and French
