We're partnering with a growing multi-site retail organization seeking an HR Generalist who wants more than just administration.
This is an opportunity to become the primary HR resource for leaders and employees across the business, helping shape processes, improve employee experiences, and provide practical day-to-day support that makes a real impact.
We're looking for someone who is naturally resourceful, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership. You'll work closely with leaders, support employee relations matters, drive recruitment efforts when needed, coordinate engagement initiatives, and help create scalable HR processes that support a growing organization.
What You'll Be Doing
Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day HR support Partner with leaders on employee relations matters, performance concerns, documentation, accommodations, and workplace issues Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate next steps Support full-cycle recruitment for office and retail management positions Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities Lead employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and follow-up action planning Improve HR processes through SOPs, templates, toolkits, and practical solutions Maintain accurate HR documentation and employee records Cross-train as payroll backup coverage during vacations and absences
What We're Looking For
3+ years of HR Generalist experience Experience handling employee relations issues with confidence and professionalism Strong knowledge of Ontario employment standards and HR best practices Experience coaching managers through workplace challenges Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable working independently and taking ownership Experience in retail, multi-site, distribution, warehouse, or operational environments is considered a strong asset HRIS experience preferred
