You have in-depth experience in a public company Corporate environment, responsible for Financial Reporting, Payroll and monitoring and documenting all accounting policies and procedures You have established and maintained all company accounting systems within your previous work experience, ensuring production of accurate financial results, which meet all the accounting cycle reporting timelines and guidelines You have been the custodian of a Company’s general ledger, ensuring all balance sheet and selected income statement accounts are reconciled monthly with adequate supporting information You like working with the finance details, able to research, interpret, and provide sound business recommendations on complex/escalated accounting issues in collaboration with the CFO You have previous experience managing a company’s banking relationships and treasury responsibilities including cash flow analysis and FX hedging requirements You have been the primary liaison within an organization leading the internal audit department and connecting with independent auditors You have previous experience providing leadership and oversight for day-to-day management of payroll, including wage and salary administration, policies and procedures, records maintenance, employee benefits, and workers’ compensation, ensuring compliance with applicable provincial legislation You enjoy business collaboration, seeking ways to increase and improve the participation with all departments and branches in the use of accounting and financial information for problem solving and process improvement purposes You are a team leader and player that works well with a variety of departments including Finance, HR, Marketing, Service and Operations, connecting, and demonstrating a customer centric approach You see value in managing and fostering deep relationships inside and outside of the business You are a strong people manager, leading a team towards common objectives, understanding the need for bench strength while taking diversity and inclusion into consideration You are comfortable and can easily navigate an organization’s informal and formal networks within a corporate, matrixed environment WHAT YOU BRING

You have a Business Degree with an Accounting Specialization as well as a CPA, CA designation. You have a minimum of 5-7 years of Corporate Controller experience in a public Company, preferably within a multi-division sales distribution environment. You have experience with a variety of accounting software/programs, in particular JD Edwards and Oracle Cloud EPM. You have knowledge of US GAAP reporting principles, and fluent knowledge of income and indirect taxes.

*This position is based in our Niagara-on-the-Lake Corporate Office. This role is available for a Hybrid working arrangement, available to be performed both in office and home.
