About the role As our HR Generalist, you will provide operational HR support across a broad range of functions including employee relations, recruitment, HR systems, and payroll. You’ll act as a trusted resource to employees and leaders, providing guidance across the employee lifecycle and helping to deliver a consistent, high-quality employee experience while supporting CREB®’s culture and values. While payroll is relatively straightforward, it is a critical component of this role. We are looking for someone who brings strong payroll knowledge and experience, with the ability to confidently manage a semi-monthly salaried payroll with accuracy, compliance, and attention to detail. What you’ll be doing Administer and process full-cycle semi-monthly payroll in Dayforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery Maintain payroll records, support audits/reconciliation, and manage year-end processes (e.g., T4s, ROEs) Serve as a key contact for payroll, pension, and benefits inquiries Maintain and ensure accuracy of employee data within Dayforce HCM Provide HR advisory support to employees and leaders on policies, performance, and workplace matters Support recruitment and onboarding activities to ensure a positive candidate and employee experience Support training and development initiatives, including coordinating learning activities, maintaining learning resources, and assisting with employee development Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and HR programs Assist in policy development, process improvements, and HR projects View the full job description here What you bring Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field CHRP (or working towards) and/or PCP designation or equivalent payroll experience 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role Strong working experience with Dayforce (Ceridian) Solid understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and best practices High attention to detail and strong sense of accountability Proven ability to build relationships and provide thoughtful HR guidance Strong organisational and communication skills Why join CREB®?
