One of Equinox Gold’s cornerstone Canadian assets, the Valentine Gold Mine (VGM) is a new, world-class, long-life gold mine located in the central region of Newfoundland and Labrador. The mine achieved first gold in September 2025 and commercial production in November 2025 and, when operating at full capacity, will be the largest gold mine in Atlantic Canada and a significant economic driver and employer in the province. VGM currently has an estimated mine life of more than 14 years, with significant exploration potential. Equinox Gold is currently inviting applications for a Human Resources Coordinator – Site Based to join our growing team as the company ramps up mine operations and production.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Human Resources Superintendent, the Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible to provide support to the Equinox Gold – Valentine Gold Mine Human Resources team in order to ensure effective workflow proceses, quality of work, and attainment of deadlines.

This position is located at the Mine site, working on a 14 days in/14 days out rotation.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

Work with other members of the Human Resources (HR) team to provide a supportive and positive employee expereince to employees of the Calibre Valentine Gold Mine. Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance as required. Assist employees with benefit enrollments or changes. Organize, maintain, and update employee HRIS information as needed. Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs. Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process. File documents into appropriate employee files. Produce and submit reports on general HR activity. Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits, etc.) Support the team in Human Resources Information System (HRIS) administration. Prepare reports and presentation materials as requested by various departments. Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Provide high-quality administrative assistance through the use of standard software and Company business systems (i.e. MS Office suite, SAP, SuccessFactors, etc). Assist, organize, or coordinate internal and external company sponsored events. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education And Experience Required

A minimum 3-year Business Diploma with a specialization in human resources or equivalent. An Undergraduate Degree in Business, Commerce, or other relevant field is preferred. A minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a Human Resources Coordinator or relevant human resources supportive function. Experience with HRIS is required. Project related experience is an asset. Experience in a remote, operational, or industrial environment is an asset.

Skills And Knowledge

Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices , including relevant legislation. Ability to handle data with confidentiality. Ability to escalate complex matters in a timely fashion. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Attention to detail in all aspects of responsibilities. Excellent organizational and time management skills Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to take initiative and work independently while supporting team members. Strong leadership traits and abilities. Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems. Highly skilled in administrative computer applications such as Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint). A valid driver’s license and drivers abstract required.
