Join our Fairmont family today!Job DescriptionReporting to the Director, People & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service in accordance with the Company’s ValuesAssists the Director, People & Culture with developing, coordinating, and executing the People & Culture strategy, as well as all People & Culture programs, events and initiativesResponsible for assisting with the oversight of the daily operation of the People & Culture office as well as the performance and development of the People & Culture team membersWork with the Benefits and Wellness Manager on meaningful and applicable programs which helps to promote work-life balance for leaders and employees.Work with the Benefit and Wellness Manager to ensure proper management of complex disability cases and return to work processesHave a thorough understanding of the AccorHotels and brand specific Crisis Procedures and ensure they are followed these in times of needAssist with the establishment of onboarding procedures to ensure new colleagues feel welcome and are set up for successFacilitate sections of Orientation for all new colleagues to ensure an understanding of the Company’s policies and proceduresPromote Accor’s Employee Value Proposition for Employee Engagement and AcquisitionSupport all volunteer committees as needed (Employee Recognition, Health & Safety, Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Activities, Sustainability)Advise, guide and assist leaders with the interpretation and consistent application of People & Culture policies, procedures, programs, activities, decisions, and legislative requirementsSupport an environment which supports open ongoing feedback and coaching to bridge gaps for better performanceCreate a learning environment where each direct report has a personal development planServe as a main property point of contact for all HRIS questions; Provide support and training on HRIS to P&C and operational teamsProvide support to the P&C and payroll interactions biweekly to ensure smooth transfer of information for accurate employee payReview and follow-up on all employee discussion forms, colleague performance reviews and exit interviewsAddress and resolve colleague relation concerns, as well as facilitates escalated performance meetings for an employee base of up to 855Assist with planning colleague and leadership social events to drive engagement and recognize achievementAssist with the implementation of the annual Employee Engagement Survey and work throughout the year with department leaders on meaningful action plans to drive engagementAssist the Director, People & Culture with the financial management of the People & Culture budget including accurate monthly forecasting and annual budget developmentOther duties as assignedQualificationsDiploma or Bachelor Degree in related field;Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources roles, with a minimum of 1 year experience in a Leadership level positionHotel operation experience is desirableKnowledge of local labour laws and employment law requirementsUp-to-date on HR trends and practices in the marketComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications requiredAbility to create a community which supports a collaborative environmentStrong relationship builderExcellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of talentExcellent organization skills, Ability to multi-taskMulticultural awareness and able to work with communities and people from diverse backgroundsFlexible, able to embrace, and respond to changeAbility to work independently with strong initiativeSelf-motivated and highly responsibleAbility to focus attention on colleague needsAdditional InformationJob Perks & Benefits:Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time status employeesOne complimentary meal per shift in our staff cafeteria (additional meals can be purchased for $8/meal)Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Vision & Dental) including extended benefits like; Mental Health (up to $5,000/year), Orthodontics (up to $2,500/year), Fertility Drugs and Gender Affirmation (Lifetime maximum of $10,000) for full time permanent status employeesDefined Contribution Pension Plan with employer matching up to 5% of annual earnings for full time permanent status employeesEmployee travel program with discounts on room rates as well as on food & beverage at Fairmont & Accor properties world-wideAccess to the Mountain Explorer Travel Program - Discounted room rates including 50% off all food & beverage at Fairmont Resorts in Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper & Whistler (subject to availability)Opportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and over 5,000 properties with AccorVisa Requirements: Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
