Human Resources Business Partner - Ontario
About the role
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor to managers of warehouse operations across multiple sites in Ontario. The HRBP plays a key role in implementing best HR practices while ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws and regulations in the province. The HRBP collaborates with leaders to promote a positive work environment, support effective workforce management, and contribute to HR-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the main HR point of contact for a portfolio of warehouse locations across Ontario.

Provide strategic and operational HR support to managers in all aspects of employee relations, performance management, and development.

Interpret and ensure compliance with provincial labour laws (e.g., employment standards, health and safety, employment equity).

Manage or support disciplinary matters, internal investigations, and conflict resolution processes.

Collaborate with other HR team members to align practices across different sites.

Monitor HR metrics (e.g., absenteeism, turnover, workplace climate) and recommend tailored action plans.

Support managers through organizational changes and workforce optimization initiatives.

Stay current on employment legislation across provinces and emerging HR trends and practices.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, Human Resources Management, or a related field.

3 to 6 years of experience as an HR generalist or business partner, ideally in a multi-site environment.

Strong knowledge of labour laws and employment standards in Ontario.

Experience in operational environments (warehousing, logistics, manufacturing) is a strong asset.

Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Willingness to travel within Ontario to different sites.
