SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) Consultant Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Consultant to support the design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the EC module. The role works closely with HR, IT, and project teams to ensure accurate, streamlined, and compliant management of core HR processes across the organization. Key Responsibilities 1. Requirements Gathering & Solution Design Lead discovery sessions with HR stakeholders to document business processes and requirements. Translate business needs into functional design documents for Employee Central. Design EC data models, workflows, business rules, event handling, and role-based permissions. Recommend best practices to optimize HR processes and system usability. 2. Configuration & Implementation Configure Employee Central objects such as Foundation Objects, MDF objects, Position Management, and Employee Data Models. Set up workflows, business rules, event reason derivations, and dynamic role configurations. Support implementation phases including build, unit testing, SIT, UAT, and deployment. Participate in global or regional EC rollouts and support localization for specific countries. 3. Data & Integration Management Support data migration activities, including data mapping, cleansing, transformation, and validation. Integrate EC with other SuccessFactors modules, HR/Payroll systems, and third-party platforms. Ensure the accuracy and consistency of HR master data and foundational structures. 4. Governance, Compliance & Optimization Maintain strong data governance practices and ensure compliance with internal policies and data privacy regulations. Perform system audits, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvements. Monitor system performance and ensure alignment with SAP release updates. 5. Reporting & Analytics Develop or support reports and dashboards for HR operations, workforce analytics, and compliance needs. Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to HR and leadership teams. 6. Training & Support Deliver training to HR super-users, administrators, and end-users on EC processes. Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis. Collaborate with operations teams to standardize and document EC processes. 7. Leadership (For Senior Roles) Lead EC workstreams or serve as solution architect for multi-module implementations. Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge development within the team. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure high-quality project deliverables. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong hands-on expertise in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. Deep understanding of EC data models, Foundation Objects, Position Management, business rules, and workflows. Experience with MDF objects, role-based permissions, event handling, and EC configuration tools. Familiarity with integrations (APIs, middleware, payroll interfaces). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central certification. Experience with additional modules (e.g., Recruiting, Onboarding, Time Off, Compensation). Prior experience leading HR technology transformation or global EC implementations. Knowledge of HR business processes and organizational structures. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Business, or related discipline. Typically 3–7 years of HRIS or SAP SuccessFactors EC experience (more for senior roles).
