ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:
The HR Analyst supports evidence-based human resources decision-making by collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting workforce data across the employee lifecycle. The role maintains HR data integrity, develops reports and dashboards, supports workforce planning and compliance reporting, and provides analytical support for HR programs, projects, and process improvements.
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain HR reports, dashboards, scorecards, and workforce metrics related to headcount, vacancies, recruitment, attendance, compensation, and employee demographics Analyze workforce data and trends to provide insights and recommendations supporting workforce planning, vacancy management, and business decision-making Track recruitment activity, staffing approvals, requisition status, vacancy rates, and time-to-fill metrics Maintain, reconcile, and report on position control data, organizational structures, and staffing movements Provide analytical and reporting support for HR programs including attendance management, compensation, benefits, training, employment equity, and labour relations Prepare information for audits, compliance reviews, legislative reporting, executive briefings, and collective agreement requirements Conduct research and benchmarking to support HR policies, programs, and projects Maintain the accuracy and integrity of HRIS data through audits, validations, reconciliations, and data corrections Support HRIS administration, including system testing, troubleshooting, documentation, workflow approvals, and end-user support Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes, data controls, workflow efficiency, and HR systems Participate in HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and special assignments Perform other related HR analytics, reporting, workforce planning, and system administration duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced College Diploma in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Labour Relations, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field CHRP designation or actively working toward designation is considered an asset 2–3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, HRIS administration, workforce analytics, reporting, recruitment, compensation, payroll, or business analysis Experience maintaining confidential employee information Experience performing data validation, audits, reconciliations, and quality assurance activities Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint Experience using HRIS, applicant tracking systems, payroll systems, workforce management systems, and reporting tools; Power BI experience is considered an asset Knowledge of HR practices across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, attendance management, compensation, benefits, labour relations, and workforce planning Knowledge of employment legislation, collective agreements, privacy requirements, records management practices, and corporate policies Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret workforce data and provide actionable insights Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to data accuracy and integrity Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to a variety of audiences Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work independently, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization
