Job Description As the Occupational Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling activities relating to the prevention of workplace accidents and occupational illnesses for AIM Recycling’s industrial site in Montreal. What you’re responsible for: Acting as a change agent to develop a strong health and safety culture and support managers with their occupational health and safety-related matters; Coaching managers in developing their health and safety leadership and integrating prevention into daily operations. Implementing and monitoring health and safety programs, procedures, and tools to strengthen prevention and accountability. Conducting workplace inspections and maintaining a visible presence in the field to promote safe work practices and behaviors. Assessing workplace hazards and recommending appropriate risk prevention and mitigation measures. Leading accident investigations and collaborating with regulatory authorities during inspections or investigations. Coordinating health and safety training, facilitating OHS committee meetings, and responding to health and safety inquiries from employees and clients. Qualifications To join our team: You have a college diploma or university certificate in Occupational Health and Safety; You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role; You have a strong knowledge of laws and regulations related to occupational health and safety; You are proficient in MS Office; You are bilingual (an asset); You have a valid driver’s license and are available to travel between the company’s various sites as needed.
