Human Resources Manager
About the role
The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
The HR Manager will work with leaders across the business to build our culture and drive our mission; ensuring a great place to work for all our employees in a non-union manufacturing environment. This role is both hands-on and strategic; providing expertise in the areas of employee relations, performance management, total rewards, employee engagement, learning and development, diversity and inclusivity, regulatory compliance and ad hoc projects as needed to attract and retain talent, and achieve our business objectives. Responsibilities: · Be a leader and credible activist for your clients, your team, and our mission; exert influence to create positive change · Conduct gap and risk analysis to effectively identify and prioritize opportunities with business leadership. then plan, execute, and evaluate strategic people initiatives · Together with OH&S team members, promote health and safety in the workplace and support all safety initiatives. · Experience with recruiting agencies and managing service level agreements. · Deliver both strategic and tactical HR support and programs to employees and managers, including performance management, organizational design, recognition and rewards, learning and development, compensation programs and all aspects of employee relations. · Work closely with the HR Administrator, providing HR support to our manufacturing, project management, design, and sales teams · Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience · Advise management on employee relations issues, including the consistent and effective management of employee discipline. · Participates in or leads employee investigations related to employee complaints and suspected misconduct, · Consult and coach all levels of management to build effective organizational structures and serve high performing, diverse and inclusive teams. Increase depth to our culture and cascade KPIs across the organization. · Build credibility and trust among employees; resolve employee concerns with compassion and timely follow-through. · Consult and advise on talent reviews and drive the performance review process. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant work experience.
· 5+ years’ experience in HR Business Partner and/or HR Management. Previous HR experience in a consulting, project management and/or manufacturing environment is required. Thorough understanding and hands-on application of internal and external HR principles, practices, and standards. Demonstrated experience in organizational development and change management is a plus. Resourceful and self-motivated with ability to work in matrixed, fast-paced, ambiguous, and changing environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations and make decisions based on data while drawing from previous experience. Demonstrated experience with coaching employees and management through complex and difficult issues, including conducting investigations. Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to effectively partner and collaborate with all levels of the organization, to positively influence teams and outcomes. Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks. Strong written and verbal communication; must be a clear and concise communicator.
