Role Description The Human Resources Manager will oversee core HR functions to support You Rise’s growing team in a part-time, remote capacity. This role includes managing recruitment and onboarding, developing and updating HR policies, and coordinating performance management and professional development processes. The Human Resources Manager will handle employee relations matters, ensure compliance with labor laws and nonprofit regulations, and maintain accurate HR records and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve supporting benefits administration, promoting inclusive and equitable workplace practices, and advising leadership on HR best practices. The person in this role will collaborate with program and operations staff to build a positive, mission-aligned organizational culture. Qualifications Experience in core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and coach staff at all levels. Proficiency with HR information systems, document management, and remote collaboration tools (e.g., HRIS, video conferencing, shared document platforms). Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality and professional judgment. Experience in nonprofit organizations, social services, or advocacy-focused environments is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience is a plus.
