The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority is seeking a Physician Program Specialist to join the Talent Acquisition team in Yellowknife.

About the Role Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, you'll lead the development and implementation of physician recruitment, retention, and workforce planning initiatives for the NWT Health and Social Services System. Working closely with physician leaders, senior management, educational institutions, and external partners, you'll help create innovative strategies that attract physicians to practice and build careers in the Northwest Territories.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement physician recruitment and retention programs and strategies Lead workforce planning initiatives to identify current and future physician staffing needs Build partnerships with physician leaders, medical residents, universities, and external stakeholders Support the strategic implementation of the NWT Family Medicine Residency Program Analyze recruitment metrics, labour market trends, and workforce data to support decision-making Provide advice and recommendations on talent acquisition, workforce planning, and physician attraction initiatives
Qualifications Required Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field Four (4) years of progressive experience in human resources, workforce planning, recruitment, or program development Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Equivalent qualifications may include: A diploma in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or a related field with six (6) years of related experience A certificate in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or a related field with seven (7) years of related experience
