About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established luxury fashion retailer, is looking for an organized and proactive HR Coordinator to join their team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day HR administration with recruitment, employee support, and compliance. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Quebec labour standards and CNESST requirements, while knowledge of Ontario and U.S. employment legislation would be considered a strong asset.
What You'll Be Doing Coordinating the full recruitment process, including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and supporting onboarding Maintaining accurate employee files, HR records, and confidential documentation Preparing employment letters, contracts, and other HR-related documents Serving as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures Assisting with benefits administration, vacation tracking, leave management, and employee updates Maintaining employee information within the HRIS and ensuring data accuracy Supporting performance review cycles, probation follow-ups, and employee development initiatives Assisting with the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures Providing support with employee relations matters while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality Coordinating training sessions and other employee engagement initiatives
Compliance & HR Administration
Supporting compliance with CNESST regulations and Quebec labour standards Assisting with workplace incident reporting and required documentation Helping ensure HR practices remain aligned with Quebec employment legislation Providing support with Ontario and U.S. employment-related matters when applicable Maintaining organized HR records to support audits and compliance reviews
Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, or similar Human Resources role Strong knowledge of CNESST and Quebec labour standards (required) Familiarity with Ontario employment legislation (an asset) Exposure to U.S. employment practices (an asset) Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field Fully bilingual in French and English Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Professional, discreet, and comfortable handling confidential information Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative retail or fashion environment
