Job Description: The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to help attract, engage, and hire exceptional talent across the organization. Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a trusted advisor and business partner to leaders across multiple functions. This role leads full-cycle recruitment for senior leadership, management, specialized professional, and business-critical positions while delivering an exceptional hiring manager and candidate experience. As a senior member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will leverage market intelligence, innovative sourcing strategies, talent pipeline development, and consultative partnership to support organizational priorities and initiatives. You will also provide operational leadership within the Talent Acquisition function by championing recruitment excellence, process consistency, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do: Talent Acquisition Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection activities for senior leadership, management, specialized professional, and business-critical roles across multiple functions. Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs, define recruitment strategies, and support hiring decisions. Develop creative and proactive sourcing strategies to attract, assess, and secure high-calibre talent. Conduct candidate assessments, interviews, and facilitate offer negotiations. Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs. Operational Leadership & Recruitment Excellence Provide operational leadership and subject matter expertise to support the consistent and high-quality delivery of recruitment services. Serve as a senior resource to Talent Acquisition team members and hiring managers on sourcing strategies, candidate assessment, and recruitment best practices. Monitor recruitment activity, service levels, and outcomes, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement. Support recruitment projects, process enhancements, technology optimization, and talent acquisition planning initiatives. Relationship Management Build and maintain strong partnerships with hiring managers, business leaders, and Human Relations colleagues. Act as a trusted advisor by providing strategic talent acquisition guidance and delivering a high-quality stakeholder experience. Collaborate across the organization to align recruitment practices with business objectives and workforce needs. Recruitment Agency & Contract Management Support the development and administration of recruitment agency and contractor agreements and provide guidance on vendor engagement. Monitor vendor performance and recruitment outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational expectations and hiring objectives. Metrics & Analytics Maintain the integrity of recruitment data and prepare reports, dashboards, and hiring updates for stakeholders. Analyze recruitment metrics, labour market trends, and sourcing effectiveness to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. What You'll Bring Education & Certifications College diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CHRP, CHRL, Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR), or equivalent professional designation. Experience & Knowledge Minimum 5 years of progressive full-cycle recruitment experience in a multi-function environment, including recruitment for senior leadership, management, specialized professional, and business-critical roles. Demonstrated experience utilizing Workday and related talent acquisition technologies to support recruitment delivery, reporting, and talent pipeline management. Proven success developing sourcing strategies, building talent pipelines, and delivering recruitment solutions for complex hiring needs. Strong knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment best practices Strong understanding of labour market trends, talent acquisition strategies, and candidate attraction practices. Experience within a national, complex, multi-site organization Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and negotiate effectively across all levels of the organization. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with a proven capacity to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results and maintaining exceptional attention to detail Demonstrated talent sourcing expertise, leveraging LinkedIn, professional networks, referrals, and other recruitment channels; bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset. Compensation: The target hiring range for this position is $85,321.60 to $106,641.60 with a maximum of $127,982.40. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
