As Toptable Group continues to grow, we are now searching for a new member of our People team with a passion for talent acquisition to play a key role in supporting that growth.

JOB SUMMARY: Working with the Vice President, People, and partnering with a team of hospitality and culinary professionals, the specialist plays an integral role supporting and evolving the talent attraction and recruitment function, as well as managing and evolving the Toptable onboarding program for its full-time and hourly workforce.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned as required) Key contact to restaurant leaders for talent attraction, recruitment and onboarding of both FT and hourly roles Partner with operational leaders to develop short and long-term workforce plans based on business growth, seasonality, openings, and turnover trends. Analyze hiring metrics and labor forecasts to proactively identify talent gaps and recruitment priorities. Track and report on key recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, quality of hire, source effectiveness, offer acceptance rates, and turnover within the first 90 days. Collaborate with operational leaders to research, develop and execute new attraction strategies Regularly evaluate recruitment strategies and recommend process improvements based on data and trends. Champion and enhance the organization's employer brand across digital channels, recruitment marketing, and community partnerships. Ensure a high-touch, hospitality-driven candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Proactively develop, recommend and execute an annual talent attraction plan based on the anticipated restaurant growth and areas or roles requiring special attention Manage job postings in the applicant tracking system and through external sites Proactively, source potential candidates through networking and other applicant pools and systems (e.g. 86 Network, LinkedIn etc.) Partner with operational leaders to proactively identify forecasted talent shortages and implement targeted recruitment strategies Draft and manage standard templates for job postings and job descriptions In conjunction with the hiring manager, prepare interview questions and screening tools, as required Coordinate various recruitment activities including one-on-one interviews, recruitment socials, reference checks, and other recruitment events Partner with operations and people teams to deliver a consistent, hospitality-driven onboarding experience Monitor and respond to candidate feedback and recommend improvements to the hiring process. Build and maintain an appropriate network of recruitment and community partners Research and participate in external recruitment events i.e. both post-secondary and industry relevant job fairs

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a minimum of 4 years’ recruiting experience, ideally within a hospitality-related environment Certificate or Diploma in human resources or a related program, or a combination of education and experience is required Experience with innovative recruitment strategies would be an asset, including using professional social networks A passion for proactive talent acquisition and demonstrated experience in developing and executing creative recruitment strategies with positive results An understanding immigration process and recruitment of foreign workers is an asset Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously Motivated by continuously finding more efficient ways to enhance the hiring of new recruits A Multi-tasker with strong technical skills and technologically inclined A self-starter who puts thought, creativity, and ingenuity into work assignments A team player with a strong client service focus Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with diverse client groups Ability to travel locally (e.g. to visit Vancouver, Whistler and Victoria locations) as required
