Description
Act as a trusted strategic advisor and coach to leaders within the Operations organization, supporting a global client group under the SVP, Operations. Partner closely with Directors to drive organizational effectiveness and performance. Build strong relationships with leaders to support workforce planning, organizational design, and team performance in a fast-paced and transforming environment. Support employee engagement initiatives by collaborating with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and proactively identifying and implementing solutions. Lead and support complex employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, and disciplinary actions. Actively contribute to transformation initiatives, including recently integrated business units, ensuring alignment of people strategies with business objectives. Manage workforce planning activities, including employee transfers, job profile alignment, job descriptions, role evaluations, and resource planning. Contribute to succession planning and leadership pipeline development. Analyze people metrics and trends to identify risks and opportunities and develop proactive action plans. Support the rollout and adoption of corporate HR programs and initiatives across the client group. Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, policies, and governance frameworks. Collaborate effectively within a highly matrixed Operations environment, where execution and cross-functional teamwork are critical. Support a globally distributed workforce, with more than half of employees located outside of Canada, requiring cultural awareness and cross-cultural collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. 5–8 years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Business Partner. Experience supporting leadership at the Director level or above. Proven experience in change management within a business-driven environment. Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations matters independently. Experience with workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex, and evolving environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Demonstrated ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting global or internationally distributed teams. Experience in manufacturing, operations, or industrial environments. Familiarity with HR support for functions such as Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Health & Safety, or Flight Safety. Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed organization. Exposure to procurement and supply chain business units. Strong cultural awareness and experience working in cross-cultural environments. Experience partnering with Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated HR solutions.
