About the role

HR Generalist - Health & Safety & ESA Storwell is hiring a hands-on HR Generalist to become the first point of contact for day-to-day, non-recruiting HR work across a growing team of roughly 100 employees. This is a practical, HR and Safety role.

This role exists so routine HR work has a clear owner and recruiting can stay focused. You will help make HR processes more consistent, better documented, and easier for managers and employees to use. What You Will Own Act as the first line of response for routine employee HR questions and requests. Prepare employee letters, contracts, renewals, record updates, and related HR documentation. Complete and coordinate onboarding packages, system/access setup, and new employee administration. Help manage the apprenticeship program and keep related records moving. Lead JHSC administration and related follow-up. Coordinate payroll-related employee issues with payroll, without needing to be the payroll specialist. Support attendance management, time-clock edits, vacation, overtime, sick time, and time-off tracking with careful verification. Assist managers with conflict-resolution steps, PIP creation, and process monitoring alongside manager and the line managers. Conduct exit interviews and keep employee files, contracts, and records current. What Makes You a Fit You have working knowledge of Ontario ESA basics and experience in HR administration, HR coordination, employee relations support, or a similar people-operations role. You are detail-oriented, fact-based, precise, and comfortable verifying information before accepting explanations or making updates. You can handle employee conversations with tact, discretion, and a company-protective mindset.
